Montenegro knows only one catchphrase: Tara! The river offers the ultimate rafting adventure in Montenegro and is one of the best rafting destinations in all of Europe. The turquoise-blue Tara in the beautiful Durmitor National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and forms the border between Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina in many places. At 140 kilometers it is the longest river in Montenegro. It’s no wonder that its tremendous power has cut the largest gorge in Europe into the rugged rocks.
